Paying for care

Most of what families assume is covered is not. Some of what is covered, nobody tells them about.

The single most expensive misunderstanding in this business is the belief that Medicare pays for home care. It generally does not — it pays for home health, which is a different service with a different purpose and a time limit. Families discover the gap at the worst possible moment, usually in the week after a discharge, with a bill in hand.

These essays lay out what each program actually covers, the VA Aid and Attendance benefit that wartime veterans and surviving spouses routinely never hear about, and how to read a home care agency's pricing. For what CarePali itself charges, our own plans start at $1,700 a month and are published in full on the services and pricing page — no quotes, no discovery call required to see a number.

The first step is a 30-minute conversation.

Not a sales call — a clinical and operational read on your loved one's situation, your family's needs, and whether CarePali is the right fit. Patrick personally leads every discovery call. If we're the right team, we'll show you exactly what care would look like for your situation. If we're not, we'll tell you who in the area is.
