Aging in Place in West LA — What It Really Takes and Why You Don’t Have to Figure It Out Alone
Most older adults I meet on the Westside want the same thing: to stay in the house they've lived in for thirty or forty years.
The distance that makes Malibu what it is also makes it a hard place to grow old alone. Errands are a project, neighbors are not next door, and the adult child who means to drive out weekly is fighting the coast highway to do it.

Homes here are strung along the coast and up the canyons, and a quick pop-in isn't a realistic model of care. What works is a planned, standing schedule — fewer, longer, more useful visits — rather than someone theoretically nearby.
For an older adult who no longer drives, Malibu can get quiet in a way that genuinely affects health. A good portion of what a caregiver does on these visits is the ordinary human part: the walk, the conversation, the meal eaten with someone else at the table.
Some Malibu addresses we can serve well, and some are far enough out that we would be promising a schedule we cannot reliably keep. You will get that answer straight in the discovery call, before anyone signs anything.
Care runs month to month on one of three plans — Steady, Continuity, or Full Presence — starting at $1,700 per month. Which one fits is decided after an in-home assessment, not over the phone. See plans and pricing.
CarePali provides non-medical, in-home daily-living care — bathing and personal care, meals, medication reminders, mobility support, companionship, and the household rhythm around them. We are not a home-health agency and not a nursing service. If your parent needs skilled nursing, we will say so in the first conversation.
Not a sales call — a clinical and operational read on your loved one's situation, your family's needs, and whether CarePali is the right fit. Patrick personally leads every discovery call. If we're the right team, we'll show you exactly what care would look like for your situation. If we're not, we'll tell you who in the area is.
