I'm Patrick — CarePali's founder — and right now, your caregiver. U.S. Navy veteran, RN-trained, finishing my LVN, with hands-on caregiving experience. I started CarePali because of the in-between. Not the surgery, not the hospital stay, not the twice-weekly home health visit — the hours around them. That's where the fall happens, where the dose gets skipped, where nobody thinks to mention the dizziness. Those hours decide how everything else goes, and they're the ones nobody is covering.
Home health comes, does its job, and leaves. What's left belongs to the family, and it drains them — I've watched sons and daughters try to be the aide, the advocate, the scheduler, and the kid all at once. So I built for that gap: respite, so the family caregiver gets an evening back; advocacy, so someone who knows the history is in the room; plain explanation, so nobody is guessing at what they were just told. And often the most useful thing of all — presence, patience, and company.
We provide private, non-medical in-home daily-living care for older adults on the Westside of Los Angeles and coastal Ventura — through a consistent caregiver paired with each family, supported by licensed RN clinical oversight. No rotating strangers. No staffing-agency model. Just familiar faces, known routines, and care that's quietly done well.

Our approach is nurse-informed and grounded in something harder to define: the understanding that presence compounds. In the long arc of aging in place, consistent, engaged human contact isn't a comfort feature — it's part of how people stay well at home.
We think of families and caregivers as one ecosystem, not two separate parties managing a transaction. When that relationship works, everyone in it feels it.
I take a limited number of families at a time, so care is never spread thin. And I hold every decision to one standard — the Sunday test: would I want this exact care for my own family on a quiet Sunday? If the answer isn't an easy yes, it doesn't happen.
